This is a picture of some of your cousins, Weezie. I don't remember if they are correctly referred to as second cousins or cousins once removed or something else entirely, but we can figure that out when you are curious. Right now I will just tell you that this is the first wave of children on your maternal grandfather's side of the family. We (yes I am in this picture) were a casual group of kids who loved getting together to play. Some of my happiest memories are of picnics and potlucks with the families of these children.
This is Cathy, the cousin who sent the picture to me. She is the oldest cousin, a status I viewed with awe and respect. I always thought she was the smartest cousin, or at least the most savvy. She looks a bit like Madonna here. I haven't seen her for more years than we knew each other when we were young. The family is having a long overdue reunion this summer, so you will meet her along with all of the others, I hope, when we get together.
This is your Uncle Judd. He and Cathy appear to be sharing a secret. They are close in age, and were always great pals. Isn't he a handsome boy? He was probably around seven here.

Yup, Weezie, this is Nonna. I look a little like Anne Frank here, which is an improvement over most of my childhood pictures where I resemble a third world orphan. The doll I am clutching must have belonged to one of the other girls, as I don't remember having any dolls (GG confirms this) until I was around twelve.
We were all so skinny but it must have been because we ran the meals off, racing about and playing silly games that Cathy and Judd dreamed up. We are too old to play much now, which will disappoint you no end, but I am hoping everyone will bring their grandchildren and great-grandchildren so you will have someone close to your own age. If so, perhaps you can play Hide and Seek and Annie-I-Over and Dodge Ball and Simon Says and Drop the Hankie and whatever games they know or want to make up. I think you'll like it.
