Mame sent me this shot of Clam recently. He is wearing his Curious George baseball pajamas, Thomas sunglasses and monarch headgear. This reminds me, how simple it is to find fun, non-violent dress-up items for girls (think Snow White, Arielle, Cinderella, Belle, fairies, mermaids, ballerinas, princesses la la la) and how difficult it is to find non-violent fantasy gear for little boys. Merman? Maybe not. Troll? Who actually wants to be Trek? Pirates are okay as long as they look for treasure not trouble. Cowboys and Indians, Cops and Robbers, easy to put together but difficult to explain. Robin Hood might be good but we'd need to see the movie to understand the concept. Hard to find a Bambi outfit, maybe Thumper or Flower. The fantasy years slip by fast, Clam. We need to put some effort into this now that you're losing interest in wearing Weezie's Tinker Bell outfit (although you look very handsome in it, grandson). Arms around you, boy. Love you and miss you a bunch.
