Luchi, Who Cared for You

In the Spring of 2011, when you lived in Virginia, your evening sitter was this young woman, whom I call Luchi.  She is a beautiful person who loved and cared for you very well.  You enjoyed her, your mama trusted her and I liked her a lot.  We all benefitted from her being a part of your lives, however briefly.  Here she has fed you pizza and salad, a batch of popcorn, and one of your favorite movies (might have been "The Lion King.")  Clam is hiding under the table because he knows it is about time for bed.

Luchi was easy to be with and always ready to join your play.
Clam was smitten with Luchi.  She thought he was quite the boy as well, but she already had a steady beau.

Your apartment in VA was all about you, ninos.  Because it was so very tiny, your mom arranged and decorated it to meet your needs, along Montessori classroom lines.  With the exception of her own room, furnishings were your size, at your level and suited to your needs; whether dining, working, playing or just sitting about, your home was all about you.  This made it functional, safe and enjoyable for your use.  How she knew to do this, I do not know, but it seemed to work for all of you quite well.

When you moved to Europe in August of 2011, she managed to take the best of your things with her and had a new apartment, similarly if sparsely furnished, waiting on your arrival.  Your mama.  She's something of a marvel to me.
