I don't recall how we introduced the topic of Santa Claus to your mother,
ninos. It's cloudy in my mind, probably because the idea of staring my child in the face and telling a falsehood, with enthusiasm, does not appeal to me. I like to think it was someone else who told her about Santa and made it believable and fun. Possibly your Great Grandpa Max. He could be such a tease and still keep a straight face. Your mom was politely skeptical, I remember. If she believed, it was because she chose to, not because we convinced her of Santa's existence. She was also mildly scornful years later when she revealed she was onto us. Ah well. It was fun while it lasted. As your Nonna, I am prepared to remain pleasantly vague on the subject. But nothing says we can't enjoy a bit of magic this time of year.

Wow, Weezie can qualify for hat modeling.
Weezie loves hats. Loves loves LOVES hats. And bonnets. And headbands. Even bows and clippies. She is a girly girl. Oh and she likes purses too. Opens them, peers inside, pokes her fingers in and then withdraws, snapping the clasp smartly. Of course she likes trucks and little race cars too, so that's the modern girl child.
