Your mommy is a fine arts major, ninos. I knew by the way she held her crayons and pencils from an early age that she might excel in the arts. Her earliest drawings were complex geometric patterns, a toddler's display of Celtic heritage that amazed me. Unfortunately none of those seem to have survived our periodic moves and household purges. Kindergarten suppressed a lot of her artistic flair (think yellow suns with rays, gabled houses and green ball trees with red globe apples) leaving it to leak out in different times and venues. I did find this original piece among my treasures. I share it here pending further moves and purges when this too might be lost. Mame was four when she created these flowers for me; aren't they fresh and lovely?

Flowers from Mame
