Aunt Sandy Rules the Waves

Uncle Judd and Aunt Sandy have a beautiful pool at their condo. During your visit to Nonna's house this summer, ninos, we spent some time in that pool. It was great fun, you got to know Aunt Sandy a little better, and she was able to give you a few pointers about being in the water. Here Aunt Sandy is waiting for you all to get comfortable with the wetness of water.

A little tutorial on the steps. Aunt Sandy is explaining the use of floating devices.

Next Aunt Sandy laid out some rules. Since she was the only adult in the water (Mame and I arrived without our bathing suits; we were poolside but safety dictates one adult per child in the water. Next time we wore our suits.) Aunt Sandy explained that one grandchild would be in the water and two would be on the steps or side of the pool at all times. You all obeyed that rule.

Mame helped to enforce the safety rules from the shallow end of the pool.

Floatie instruction was a complete success.

Aunt Sandy monitors the action.

Uh oh, floatie failure. Aunt Sandy moves to the rescue.

You! Back on the steps! Now!

Aunt Sandy made it fun for everyone (more pictures in the next installment of this post.)
