"Maybe We Should Charge by the Rattle?"

This photo was taken in 1958, ninos, more than fifty years ago.  Uncle Judd is the young man in the middle, holding the snake's tail.  Those are his best friends, Richard and Byron.  They were seventeen at the time.  It appears the trio planned to earn some spending money selling rattlesnakes to the biology department at the local college.  Uncle Judd says that the biologist who requested the snakes did not need more than a few, and so their get-rich-quick plan evaporated and most of the snakes were soon returned to their desert habitat.  Ah that Uncle Judd, grandchildren, always the enterprising businessman, the creative entrepreneur.
