Derby Day Doings

EM is dressed for Derby Day (Kentucky of course) annual party at the home of her friend Rufus. Hats are obligatory. EM's is smashing! She dressed herself and inquired of her dad, "Am I a beautiful woman?" And he responded in gallant Derby Day manner, "Y'all have stolen the words from my very own mouth, darling daughter!" Oh, is he headed for some big old challenges in the months and years ahead. Go, EM!

And this great shot of the Derby Party parental attendees was taken by--ta da! Cousin EM. I am not kidding, grandchildren, your three-year old cousin took this picture of her parents from atop her play station using her mom's camera.
Yup, that's right, and this is only one of four or five pictures that she shot of Mom and Dad, all excellent (pictures are clear, subjects are centered, no odd shadows etc). I think I am going to turn over my photographer duties to EM in the very near future.
