"Beautiful Boy"
Words and lyrics by John Lennon
Written for and first sung to his son Sean

"Close your eyes . . .

"Have no fear . . .

"The monster's gone . . .

"And your daddy's here . . .

"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

"Beautiful boy . . .

"Out on the ocean sailing away . . .

"I can hardly wait to see you come of age . . .

"Cause it's a long way to go, a hard row to hoe . . .

Before "you cross the street, take my hand . . .

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Beautiful boy!"
Good night now, Little Clam. Your Nonna loves you.
(With a grateful thought for John Lennon and his music).

Wow, I'd forgotten how plump he used to be. My little bunny is turning into a little boy. We were playing together in the kitchen the other day and he stopped what he was doing and said "I love you, mom" and gave me a hug. It probably wasn't the first time, but it was the first that I could understand clearly what he was saying. Little sweetie.
Yes remember how he was a little rectangle, a block, more like a ten pound bag of sugar, very dense. Big thighs! That one picture he is on Granny Bear's lap. I will try to remember to go back and put little explanatory notes on the pix for him, age and location info.
