EM Hoops It Up!

Yesterday was my birthday, ninos, and it happens that I was invited to Libby's birthday party. Libby is a woman who works with Auntie Britney.  Libby had a nice party with lots of good food and drink and a fun birthday cake. She is wearing a wig and dressing up like people did back in the 1960's.
Your cousin EM was there with her mom. She wore a beautiful party dress and was the only really little girl there, but she had a good time.
EM checked out the party decorations and found things she could play with.
She was happy because Grandma was at the party. Also her Pop (Aunt Sandy and Uncle Judd to you).
A little girl brought a hula hoop. She gave Em a lesson in twirling the hoop on her hips.
Em's a quick learner so she caught on right away.
Unfortunately EM does not have much in the way of hips as yet so it was hard for her to keep the hoop going. After awhile she took a little break.
Break's over.
One more time. Check out my sox and tights why don't you?
Three generations checking out the BD cake. EM's instructions to Mom: "Cut it."

Yes, EM is every bit as winsome as her pictures. She is however headed into the two's, very much already claiming things (Mine! EM's! etc). Aunt Sandy has some good stories about her and the new condo office/playroom. (EM's room). And thanks for remembering my birthday dear. I keep thinking if you would just have made me a BIRTHDAY BANNER when you made my MOTHER'S DAY BANNER I could hang them up each year and toast myself and you would never again need to remember to call me or send a Hallmark. Ah well. Someday, Weezie and Little Clam will give it all back to you.
