This is Luca (her name in this blog for privacy purposes), your "back-up" nanny, ninos. She helps your mama with evenings and weekends when VA, your regular nanny is off duty. We adore Luca and love to see her coming through the door. Here she has just arrived and is assessing the dynamics before jumping into the evening's activities. Smart woman!
Here Luca and Weezie are sharing art materials and projects.
It's very apparent that Luca and the kids have good rapport.
I'm including this picture of Clam because it is in this series and I did not capture any good ones of him with Luca (better ones to follow). Here I think he was trying to lure her into playing fire truck (the couch is the fire truck) with him.
I love this shot of the carnage that comes with "dinner and a movie" on Saturday nights. Dinner is veggies and pizza followed by a large bowl of popcorn. The small black couch sits in the center of the living room and serves as play area and one of two places adults or children can sit. It also folds out into a sleeping area for visitors or, on my last visit, Mame.
Movie is over (note the small portable DVD player on table) so the discussion has turned to bedtime activities. Clam is ready.
I beg for one posed shot in case the others don't turn out. Weezie and Luca give me cheeks and teeth (yay!). Clam's pearlies are behind the table leg. Night, kids.
Nonna Madonna is writing to her grandchildren Weezie and Little Clam. Nonna is rarely cute, count on it, but the babies are. Since it will be a few years before Weezie or LC can read or criticize her efforts, Nonna is free to write pretty much as she pleases. Bored? Try selecting the Next Blog icon.
