Pick Me! Pick Me!

Who's the doll here? Hmm, let's see now, China Blue eyes, porcelain complexion, short reddish brown hair, chubby hands, fleecy outfit, this is a tough call. Gotta be the one on the left and the one on the right.
I will tell you a story, grandchildren, of how Little EM happens to be holding this baby doll. Some time ago, on a visit to Aunt Kathie's diaper service, EM saw two "working dolls" that Kathie uses to demonstrate the fit of her all-natural cloth diapers and diaper covers. EM's grandma (your Aunt Sandy, ninos) saw how fascinated EM was by one of the similar-but-not-the-same doll babies. She knew that EM might be ready for a dolly of her own, so she whisked her granddaughter to a nearby store with a big toy section. Perching EM in the cart, Grandma Sandy strolled the aisles, encouraging EM to pick one of the more than fifty beautiful, clever, lovable baby dolls on display. Many little girls EM's age (ten months) would have been reaching for every toy on the shelf, wild with delight; instead, EM rode regally along, studying the shelves and boxes. When they reached some dolls that were like Aunt Kathie's working dolls, EM immediately raised an arm and pointed to her choice -- a dolly just like the one she had loved at the diaper store. I find that quite remarkable, how about you! And of course they've been together ever since.
