Small World

This is your GG, ninos, in her special bed where she lives now with Aunt Sandy's brother Randy and his wife Kathie. She is eighty-nine years old. GG stays in her bed now because she is very old. Her body is wearing out and doesn't work as well as it once did. Randy and Kathie take very good care of her. She is fond of them. Your GG is still sweet and loving and always glad to have company, although she does not know exactly who we are when we come to visit. That's because her mind is wearing out also. It is hard for her to remember things. GG sleeps most of the time, occasionally waking to talk with visitors. She likes music, and if she knows the song, she sings along. Her favorite right now is "You are my Sunshine." When I visit we talk about old times and I tell her what a good mother she is. We talk about her children and her grandchildren and her great grandchildren (Weezie, Clam and EM) and what a wonderful life GG has had. I give her a kiss and tell her I love her, and she says "I love you." (She may not always know our names but she knows that she loves us. ) GG is fading slowly away. She will have changed even more by the time you come to visit next month. We can talk about how people grow old and eventually die when you are here.
