This may sound pretty feeble, ninos, but before Christa arrived to underwrite our adventures with her nimble youthfulness, one of our best outings was to Trader Joe's. We also went regularly to Whole Foods although I did not get any pictures. We liked TJ's and WF's because they had convenient underground parking which allowed us easy access, and Nonna could manage a cart and two toddlers under four. Weezie was my helper, and Clam rode in style.
We kept our visits short and fun. After all, we could always come back the next day. And the next. It was very cool in these stores. No mosquitoes or fleas (except perhaps on us.) Thankfully Christa added a new and more adventurous dimension to our little outings, but for a while, TJ's was our go-to place.
